fusing a commitment to regional, climate-responsive design with a high level of creativity and attention to detail, our work combines functionality with aesthetics; energy-efficiency with inspiring artistry.
with a background in art and biology and a masters of science degree in building design, architect Mark Lind brings a wide range of skills and talents to each project, including a reputation for creative, eye-catching designs that combine materials and finishes in unexpected and innovative ways-- several projects have received design awards, been published in books and national magazines, and showcased on the local AIA and Cool House tours.
having lived in cities located in each of the four main climate groups (Austin, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Copenhagen) has greatly influenced our work : we believe that climate-responsive architecture and designing buildings for their local conditions is the best way to improve both sustainability and resilience in the face of increasingly extreme weather events caused by global climate change.
in addition to exemplary design skills and a background in energy and sustainability, Mark has over two decades working in design-build as well as firsthand experience working as a carpenter-- providing a high level of construction-related, practical knowledge along with an appreciation for working within budgets and schedules.
whether the project is residential or commercial, a remodel or new construction, we create designs that are unique, efficient, inspiring, and timeless-- architecture that feels like it has always belonged there.
believing that no one has to sacrifice beauty for efficiency, we strive to
integrate these fundamental human needs in each and every project.
